Only the main program SmokeTimer is used and the database in which the integrated clock display is activated. One monitor is used for the program operator to insert the completed times, and also for competitors to display the clock.
When writing time, a barcode reader may be used to retrieve the starting number from the competitor card, thus speeding up the loading process and reducing the error rate.
Example #2: -mid-competition, up to 40 contestants

A single computer uses SmokeTimer, which is used by the programme operator on one monitor, and is used for inserting times during the competition. At the same time, the Smoke Timer remote screen starts on the same computer, which shows a large clock on the second monitor or projector.

Example #4: -Championship competition of European and World Level
2 or more computers connected to the LAN, monitors, projector
- A single computer uses SmokeTimer, which is used by the programme operator on one monitor, and is used for inserting times during the competition.
- The second counting will launch the Smoke Timer remote screen, which displays large lessons on the second monitor or projector for contestants and Stewarders
- One or more other computers can be used for contestants who have completed the contest. Since competitors who have completed the competition must leave the competition room, this computer may be located in another room (e.g. lobby) and the contestants can check the time, numbers of competitors. You can also get your label in the barcode reader, and check to see if they have the correct time.
