Dear national CIPC presidents and other pipe smokers friends around the world
With this SPRING newsletter I would like to draw the attention of the CIPC international pipe smokers community to communicate a couple of important items. Again I must start with a personal statement: I’m hoping everything is still fine with you and your loved ones in these difficult and emotional times, especially for our friends in the Ukraine!
BIG NEWS! We are very glad to announce that the CIPC “World Cup 2022” event will take place in October 9 in ISTANBUL / Turkey so we (mr. Turgay Ocak and myself) invite all our pipe smokers friends around the world to join us. For more background information see the special website www.pipecupturkey.com (and of course our CIPC website).
In the meantime I would like to share with you some issues that need to be clarified against any mistakes:
- WORLD CUP means individual participation is NOT allowed. The participant(s) must be a member of a national club represented in the CIPC;
- Each CIPC country member will release their team(s). A team consists of a minimum of 3 pipe smokers and max. 5 persons. Total number of participants for ISTANBUL: 200!
- Registration requests must be made by the CIPC country presidents (see website info);
- Payments can only be made by the national CIPC presidents (or their official deputy) in cash at the beginning of the event in ISTANBUL;
- The “WORLD CUP” is the main point of the event in ISTANBUL but at the same time there is the EU Championship 2021 so: two championships for the price of one.
